Ubayy ibn Kaʿb transmits from the Messenger of God, who said: ‘Whoever recites Sūrat al-Mujādilah shall be registered to be from the party of God on the Day of Resurrection.’
Imam al-Ṣādiq (a) is attributed to have said: ‘Whoever recites Sūrat al-Ḥadīd and Sūrat al-Mujādilah in an obligatory prayer and continues to do so, shall have God not punish him till he dies, ever! [Further,] he shall not witness evil in himself or in his family, ever! Nor will he witness neediness in his body.’
It is suggested that the rewards mentioned in these reports will come about as a natural result of reciting the surah intelligently and with reflection, which in turn should induce the reciter to actualise their contents and obtain the rewards mentioned. Numerous Quranic verses clarify and reiterate that the principal purpose of the Quran’s revelation was for the Prophet to warn, give glad tidings, teach, remind, and clarify, and for the listeners to contemplate, reflect, ponder, meditate, learn, and seek to understand and actualise its contents (38:29, 4:82, 47:24, 12:2, 16:43-44, 43:3, 41:3, 20:113-114, 36:1-6). Perhaps the stated rewards in the reports above will induce people to do exactly that.
