ʿAbasa: Merits

  1. From Ubayy ibn Kaʿb, that the Prophet said: ‘Whoever recites Sūrat ʿAbasa will come forth on the Day of Judgement and his face will be laughing and joyous [verse 39].’1

  2. From Muʿāwiyah ibn Wahab, that Imam al-Ṣādiq (a) said: ‘Whoever recites Sūrat ʿAbasa and Sūrat al-Takwīr will be under [the protection of] God in His gardens and in the shade and benevolence of God in paradise, and that is not difficult for his Lord – mighty and glorious.’2
