Review of Tafsir Literature

Review of tafsir literature is a supplement to the exposition section. The exposition includes the actual interpretation of the verse as we would like to present it, while this section includes the views of other commentators which are either marginal or contrary to our interpretation. Obviously, that doesn’t mean that we do not use the views of other commentators in our exposition. Whatever we accept as our preferred view in other commentaries would be presented in the exposition in addition to what we may probably add to it. However, other views expressed in different commentaries which we do not agree with, or do not feel necessary to mention in the exposition are presented in the ‘review of tafsir literature’.
