Al-Takwīr 81:12

وَإِذَا ٱلْجَحِيمُ سُعِّرَتْ ﴿١٢﴾

When hell is set ablaze.

Exegesis

The passive perfect tense verb suʿʿirat means to be inflamed, and to be set alight.1 The verbal noun of this verb is tasʿīr, which means the kindling of fire till it burns.2
