Al-Balad: Merits

  1. It has been reported from Imam al-Ṣādiq (a): ‘He who recites Sūrat al-Balad in his obligatory prayers will be known as a good-doer in this world, and in the hereafter he will be considered among those who have a rank with Allah, and he will be of the friends and companions of the prophets, martyrs, and the pious.’1

  2. Ubayy ibn Kaʿb has reported from the Prophet regarding Sūrat al-Balad: ‘Whoever recites it, Allah will give him protection from His wrath on the Day of Judgement.’2
