About this chapter

This surah is named Sūrat al-Qadr, however, some scholars refer to it as Sūrat Laylat al-Qadr, while in many transmitted reports such as those cited in the section regarding the merits of the chapter, it is referred to as Sūrat Innā Anzalnāhu fī Laylat al-Qadr.

  1. 1 Indeed We sent it down on the Night of Qadr.
  2. 2 And what will show you what is the Night of Qadr?
  3. 3 The Night of Qadr is better than a thousand months.
  4. 4 In it the angels and the Spirit descend, by the leave of their Lord, with every decree.
  5. 5 It is peaceful until the rising of the dawn.
