- It is reported from the Prophet: ‘Whoever recites the chapter wa al-ḍuḥā, will be from those that God is pleased with and it will be for Muhammad (s) to intercede on his behalf, and God will record to his name ten good deeds [performed] for every orphan and everyone with a request.’
- Imam al-Ṣādiq (a) is narrated to have said: ‘Whoever frequenlty recites wa al-shams, and wa al-layl idhā yaghshā, wa al-ḍuḥā, and alam nashraḥ in a day or a night, nothing will be left from his surrounding that will not bear witness to his favour on the Day of Judgement, even his hair, his skin, his blood, his veins, his nerves, his bones, and everything that the earth carried from him; and the Lord, blessed is He, the most high, will say: “I accept your testimony for My bondsman and validate it for him; go forth with him to My gardens until he chooses from it that which he desires, and give him without obliging him, since it is a grace from Me and My favour upon him, and may it be productive of enjoyment for My bondsman.”’
While reading narrations such as these, it is important to remember that the mentioned merits and benefits will be awarded to those who sincerely recite these verses and, most importantly, follow their recitation with practice.
