Al-Qamar 54:40

وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ ﴿٤٠﴾

Certainly We have made the Quran simple for the sake of admonishment. So is there anyone who will be admonished?

Exegesis

For the fourth time in this chapter this statement is repeated. It is a strong admonishment urging the reader to ponder and take heed. The people of Lot (a) did not take admonishment from the warnings; neither did they take heed of the first punishment and thus were destroyed in the morning. Those who are committing the same crimes as them should thus take lessons from their story.1
