Al-Takwīr – Verse 24

وَما هُوَ عَلَى الغَيبِ بِضَنينٍ

And he is not niggardly concerning the unseen.

EXEGESIS

The active participle ḍanīn has the meaning of stinginess and niggardliness with respect to things dear and valuable.[1]

EXPOSITION

The pronoun he in this verse refers to the Prophet,[2] meaning he does not withhold what is revealed to him from beyond, nor does he restrain anyone from the divine teachings received as revelations, nor does he hide anything of the divine teachings.[3]
