- The Holy Prophet has said: ‘Whoever recites this chapter will have the reward of emancipating slaves equivalent to the number of the jinn and devils that believed in Muhammad or rejected him, and he will be safe from [the evil of] the jinn.’[1]Burhan, 5/505.
- Imam al-Ṣādiq (a) says in a report: ‘He who often recites Sūrat Qul Ūḥiya Ilayya will not be afflicted in this life with anything of the evil eye of jinn or their [evil] emanation, magic, or plot; and he shall be with [the Prophet] Muhammad [on the Day of Resurrection], saying: “My Lord! I want no one in exchange of him nor do I desire to part with him.”’[2]Burhan, 5/505.
- Imam al-Ṣādiq (a) has said: ‘The recitation [of this surah at a particular place] causes the jinn to vacate the place; and he who recites it prior to his meeting with an oppressive ruler, will be safe from him; and whoever recites it in the state of imprisonment, Allah will pave the way for his release; and he who continuously recites it in difficulty, Allah will open for him the door of deliverance – by His permission, the Almighty.’[3]Burhan, 5/505.
